Fath Abad Garden

The Fath Abad Garden is a beautiful garden 24 kilometers from the center of Kerman. Covering over 13 hectares, this garden was recently completely renovated to expose the hidden beauties in it and to become one of Kerman's tourist attractions along with Jabalieh dome and Ganjali Khan Complex. The Fath Abad Garden consists of a huge garden with medicinal plants that surround a mansion called the Fath Abad Mansion whose beauty bewitches visitors. This garden is one of the few places that you can visit at night and enjoy the reflection of the Fathabad mansion and its lights in the pool.

History of the Fath Abad garden

The Fath Abad Garden was built during the Qajar era specifically during the reign of Mohammad Shah. The construction of the garden took about five years for Biglar Beigi (Another name of the Fathabad garden), who was the governor of Kerman and decided to build it for recreational purposes. Years later, due to the drying of the wells (Ghanats), the plants, flowers and trees in the garden became dry and the garden was completely abandoned. Recently, and after more than a century after the garden's construction, major restorations were made in such a way that the plants were brought back to life and color, and the mansion and paintings inside were repainted by skilled artists.

Fath Abad Garden Architecture

The Fath Abad mansion is the most beautiful structure in the garden. The painting room, where the most valuable and impressive collection of the entire mansion is explored, is the most beautiful room of this mansion. In addition to the painting room, the stuccoes at the entrance of the building, of which one is quoted from the Koran, are other attractions of this mansion. The oldest building in the complex contains a very old berry tree, which has been preserved thanks to the design by which it was decided to construct the building without damaging the tree.
